Supported by Beijing Operations Research Society, “The First Symposium on the Practice of Operations Research and Logistics” will be held at the School of Traffic and Transport Management, Dalian Maritime University from 1 August 2009 to 6 August 2009.

      The symposium is co-organized by Zhuhai Management & Economics School of Beijing Institute of Technology and Traffic & Transport Management School of Dalian Maritime University, assisted by ENGINEST and Dalian Port & Shipping Technology Company.

      The purpose is to bridge industry and the academic world by communicating on the practice of operations research. In the symposium's parallel industrial track, ENGINEST will participate in the training on the NCL language, the POEM platform, logistics optimization, production planning & scheduling and human resources optimization, etc. Teachers from Traffic and Transport Management School, Dalian Maritime University will give courses on the logistics systems.

      People who work in the field of operations research are welcome to submit scientific and application papers to the symposium. The official language is Chinese.
